Anthony Jabbour

BIO

Anthony Jabbour is a Business and Estate Planning attorney at Jabbour Law. Anthony started his career in accounting. However, after finding a passion for counseling businesses, individuals, and their families, Anthony decided to pursue a career in law. Coupled with his legal and accounting background, Anthony brings a unique perspective to law practice. He prides himself on connecting with clients. Anthony earned his bachelor's degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School. After earning his degrees, Anthony ventured south to North Carolina to serve as General Counsel of a renewable energy startup, where he implemented and oversaw the legal department and worked closely with the accounting department and Human Resources. Then, considering how important it is to be closer to his family, Anthony moved back to Michigan and worked in medical malpractice and estate planning. 

 

Anthony returned to Michigan in the spring of 2021 to be closer to his family. Anthony’s interests include learning about startups, fishing, playing basketball, analyzing cryptocurrencies, going to the gun range, and being involved in his church.

Anthony believes that the strong connections he builds with his clients are integral in helping them. Anthony is personable and easy to work with. He enjoys getting to know his clients and takes a strategic and personal approach to effectively advocate for his clients.

Representative Experience

  • In a recent business transaction, Anthony successfully closed a $5 million deal involving a business purchase via an asset sale. 

  • Successfully scaled a biogas startup from 0 to 50 employees, including starting the legal department and taking on a managerial role.

  • Advised startups from formation to operation, including drafting legal agreements, filing all necessary paperwork and advising on formation issues. 

  • In a recent matter involving a business client, Anthony successfully protected his client from liability by drafting an airtight service contract.

  • Anthony has drafted articles/certificates of incorporation, bylaws, operating agreements, service contracts, employee contracts, and many other types of business contracts for his clients.

  • Anthony successfully negotiated a settlement with a disgruntled employee in a recent employment dispute.  

  • Drafted asset protection trusts for clients to protect against liability.

  • Drafted many comprehensive estate plans, including trusts to avoid probate, protect beneficiaries, and pass on an estate to loved ones. 

  • Represented doctors in medical malpractice cases. 

  • Anthony worked as a corporate counsel extern for an international automotive supplier, incorporating Anthony’s research on Delaware corporate governance into their corporate governance guidelines.
